"Fun"raising Program
HOWDY,
Thanks for your interest in our "FUN"raising program.
I look forward to working with your group soon. Texas A&M
Concessions offers stands for fundraising with a 10% commission
made on net sales less any shortages or overages. We provide
you with everything you will need - the food, equipment and
training. All we require from you is the personnel to staff
the stands. You must be at least 16 years old or older to work
in the stand.
Please make sure your group understands the guidelines and commitments involved with our program before signing up for an event.
There are some requirements to participate in our program as follows:
- You must have a trained stand manager in every stand your group signs up to work. There is online training and hands on training (done at our concession office). Hands on training date will be announced on this website and by way of e-mail.
- The dress code consist of clean tops with some sort of sleeve (no spaghetti straps or muscle shirts), khaki bottoms or blue jeans (no short shorts, bicycle shorts, or ragged clothes), and closed toed shoes.
- You must have at least one member hold a food handler’s card. This person is then responsible to train the rest of your group members at one of your own meetings. The card holder does not have to be present when working concessions. A copy of their card will need to be on file in our office. This card is obtained from the county health department.
- A direct deposit form must be filled out and on file for payment to your group. We utilize a paperless system. Funds will be directly deposited approximately 3-4 weeks after working. Recognized student groups need to furnish their SOFC# instead of a bank account number.
- A W-9 form must be on file for all non-TAMU student groups and non-recognized student groups.
- A completed group data sheet needs to be on file with information being kept current.
- If working football, your group must work all home football games and at least two other venues aside from football.
- Basketball and Baseball requires a group to sign up for multiple dates.
- Please make sure when signing up for an event that your group can work the assigned date and does not cancel or your group will lose fund raising privileges. Failure to follow guidelines will cause your group to be uninvited to participate in our program.
PUNCTUALITY, DEDICATION, AND DEPENDABILITY are a must for TAMU’s “FUN”raising program to be successful. I cannot stress enough when requesting to work an event that your group can fully commit to the request and will not cancel. Once your group has been assigned an event, an e-mail to confirm assignment is sent. IT IS YOUR GROUP’S RESPONSIBILITY to make sure the assignment reads correctly and you confirm back to me by way of e-mail. Once confirmed by both parties, should your group cancel for any reason, they will lose fund raising privileges.
Should you have any questions, just contact concessions by way of e-mail. Your group will be put on the listserv once I have received a group data sheet. After that your group will receive information about events available to work. When there is something available for groups to work, they are assigned on a first come first serve basis. So respond to my e-mail quickly should your group want to work that particular event. Thanks and have a great day!
Sincerely,
Debbie K. Henderson
